Highly Recommend this for Family with Kids
First off, the breakfast was just splendid, a buffet with everything from bacon to croissants, so many options to start the day. Plus, the staff treated us like we were royalty, always there with a smile, really made us feel welcomed.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but honestly, it was worth every penny.

Had a great time with my friends exploring the local cafes and visiting the nearby theatre. The place was super clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast options, especially the vegan choices, were a hit with everyone! Would definitely recommend it for a fun group getaway.
We had a long walk to our room, which was a bit inconvenient after a day out. A closer room would have been nice.

Can just recommend for a weekend getaway
Welcoming staff, clean room, the lovely dining area provided a great breakfast experience with a view over the central square, and it was conveniently located near the train station with easy access to York and Newcastle.
Couldn't find any faults at all.

Clean and spacious room with friendly staff made for a pleasant experience. The food, particularly the homemade rolls, stood out as a highlight. the bed lacked comfort, affecting sleep quality, and housekeeping seemed confused about towel replacements. Signage for parking could be improved for better navigation.

Perfect location with comfy beds
Really liked how close we were to everything in town! The large shower was awesome, and our room was super clean. The staff surprised us with chocolates since our match got canceled, such a nice touch! Only thing was figuring out the maze to get to our room, but we got it eventually.
